Abstract
Sve više organizacija u novije vrijeme očekuju da njihovi zaposlenici budu proaktivni i pokažu inicijativu, da preuzimaju odgovornost za vlastiti profesionalni razvoj i da budu što više uključeni u ono što rade. Stoga su im potrebni zaposlenici koji se osjećaju energično i predano, koji su zadovoljni na svome poslu i angažirani u svome radu. Postoje brojni unutarnji i vanjski faktori koji se povezuju s zadovoljstvom na poslu i s radnom angažiranosti, a ovo istraživanje baviti će se emocionalnom inteligencijom. Emocionalno inteligentni pojedinci smatraju se prilagodljivima, fleksibilnima, sposobnima da percipiraju, upravljaju i izražavaju emocije na učinkovit način. Također, smatraju se staloženima i uspješnima u komunikaciji s drugim ljudima, imaju visoko samopoštovanje i samomotivirani su, društveno su kompetentni i mogu prevladati stres. Dosadašnja istraživanja pokazuju da emocionalno inteligentni pojedinci imaju beneficije kako u privatnom tako i u poslovnom svijetu. Glavni cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrditi je li i u kojoj mjeri emocionalna inteligencija prediktor zadovoljstva na poslu i radne angažiranosti kod zaposlenika. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju kako je emocionalna inteligencija pozitivno povezana i sa zadovoljstvom poslom i sa radnom angažiranosti. Međutim u regresijskoj analizi se samo kod radne angažiranosti emocionalna inteligencija pokazala kao značajan prediktor uz osobine ličnosti. Takvi nalazi potvrđuju pretpostavku da će emocionalno inteligentni ljudi biti angažiraniji na poslu bez obzira na njihovu dob, spol ili rezultate na Big-Five ali ne potvrđuje pretpostavku da će emocionalno inteligentni ljudi biti zadovoljniji na poslu bez obzira na njihovu dob, spol ili rezultate na Big-Five. Osim toga, u skladu s postavljenom hipotezom, dobivena je značajna povezanost između radne angažiranosti i zadovoljstva zaposlenika.
Abstract (english)
More and more organizations are expecting their employees to be proactive and show initiative, assume responsibility for their own professional development and become more involved in what they are doing. Therefore, they need employees who feel energetic and dedicated, who are satisfied with their work and are engaged in their work. There are numerous internal and external factors that are linked to job satisfaction and job engagement, this research will deal with emotional intelligence. Emotionally intelligent individuals are considered adaptable, flexible, capable of perceiving, managing and expressing emotions in an effective way. They are also considered to be sedate and successful in communicating with other people, have high self-esteem and are self-motivated, socially competent and can overcome stress. Previous research has shown that emotionally intelligent individuals benefit both in the private and the business world. The main purpose of this research is to determine whether and to what extent emotional intelligence is a predictor of job satisfaction and employee engagement. Research results show that emotional intelligence is positively related both to work satisfaction and job engagement. However, in the regression analysis, emotional intelligence was shown as a significant predictor above personality traits only in terms of work engagement. Such findings confirm the assumption that emotionally intelligent people will be more engaged at work regardless of their age, gender, or results at Big-Five, but does not confirm the assumption that emotionally intelligent people will be more satisfied at work regardless of their age, gender or results at Big -Five. In addition, this research shows a significant correlation between employee engagement and employee job satisfaction.
