Abstract
Rad se bavi životom i djelovanjem cara Klaudija iz 1.st. Prvenstveno stavlja naglasak na careve karakteristike, stavove i događaje iz privatnog i javnog života koje su bile meta za ismijavanje i vrijeđanje. Na temelju toga analizira da li je uistinu bio mentalno zaostao ili je žrtva političke propagande. Naposljetku, prikazuje karakterne osobine i psihološke crte, ne samo Klaudija, nego i antičkih autora, donoseći zaključke o vjerodostojnosti izvora.
Abstract (english)
Thesis is about life and work of an emperor Claudius from the 1st century. The emphasis is on emperors characteristics, attitudes and events from his personal and public life which were target of ridicule and abuse. Based on that, it analyses was he really mentally challenged or was he just a victim of political propaganda. Lastly, it brings conclusions about authenticity of the sources by showing not only Claudiusʼs characteristics and psyhological traits, but also characteristics and psyhological traits of the ancient authors.
