| Abstract | Tjelesna aktivnost je sastavni dio života svakog čovjeka. Tjelesna se aktivnost svakodnevno provodi kroz šetnju, pospremanje kuće, rad u vrtu ili pak šetnje s kućnim ljubimcima. Postoje i drugi oblici tjelesne aktivnosti poput sportskih i rekreativnih koji se mogu provoditi na razne načine od organiziranog natjecateljskog do individualnog-rekreativnog. Trajna tjelesna neaktivnost povećava rizik obolijevanja od kroničnih nezaraznih bolesti kao što su maligne bolesti, bolesti srca i krvnih žila, povišeni krvni tlak, povišeni kolesterol, šećerna bolest. Također uzrok je sve većeg broja smrtnih slučajeva u razvijenim zemljama, a u velikoj mjeri utječe i na psihičko zdravlje. Redovita tjelesna aktivnost dokazano pozitivno utječe u preveniranju pojave depresivnih i anksioznih raspoloženja. Ujedno, dokazano pomaže i u terapeutskim procesima kod ove vrste obolijevanja (depresija, anksioznost). Izrazito dobro djeluje na koncentraciju, raspoloženje, samopouzdanje i kognitivne sposobnosti. Hipoteza ovog diplomskog rada je da se stanovnici Grada Zagreba premalo bave tjelesnom aktivnošću, a cilj je procijeniti tjelesnu aktivnost stanovnika Grada Zagreba prema spolu, dobi i vrsti posla kojim se bave te navici korištenja duhanskih proizvoda (pušenja). Istraživanje je provedeno analizom podataka dobivenih iz Europske zdravstvene ankete (EHIS 2) Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, koja se u Hrvatskoj provodila tijekom 2014. i 2015. godine. Istraživanje EHIS 2 u Republici Hrvatskoj provodio je Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo u suradnji sa zavodima za javno zdravstvo županija i Grada Zagreba, Državnim zavodom za statistiku i Ministarstvom zdravlja. Ciljana su populacija bili stanovnici od 15 i više godina. Za ovaj diplomski rad obrađeni su podaci samo za Grad Zagreb, bilo je ukupno 446 ispitanika od toga 188 muškaraca i 258 žena, a raspon godina ispitanika je od 18 do 93. Nakon obrađenih podataka možemo zaključiti da je 35,7% stanovnika Grada Zagreba prekomjerno teško, 17,7% pretilo, a 30,5% ima normalnu tjelesnu masu. Premali broj osoba je tjelesno aktivno odnosno nedovoljno se kreću (hodaju), ne bave se sportom, fitnesom ili rekreacijskim aktivnostima, a samo 17,4% osoba vozi bicikl. 72,7% osoba uopće ne puši, što je jako dobro, dok je polovica ispitanika izložena duhanskom dimu u zatvorenom prostoru. |
| Abstract (english) | Physical activity is an integral part of everyone's life. Physical activity is carried out every day through walking, housekeeping, gardening or even walking with the pets. There are also other forms of physical activities, such as sports and recreational activity that can be carried out in various ways, ranging from organized competitive to individual recreational activities. Permanent physical inactivity increases the risk of developing a chronic non-communicable disease, such as malignant diseases, heart and blood vessel diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes. Moreover, it is the cause of an increasing number of deaths in developed countries, and it also largely affects mental health. Regular physical activity has been proven to have positive effects on prevention of depression and anxiety. Furthermore, it has been proven to have benefits in therapeutic processes in this type of disease (depression, anxiety). It has an especially good effect on concentration, mood, self-confidence and cognitive abilities.The hypothesis of this paper is that the citizens of Zagreb are not engage in enough physical activity, and the aim of this paper is to evaluate the physical activity of the citizens of Zagreb according to sex, age, the type of work they do and the habit of using tobacco products (smoking), that is, to prove that the citizens of Zagreb do not engage in enough physical activity. The research has been conducted by analyzing the data gained from the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS 2) from the World Health Organization, that was carried out in Croatia during 2014 and 2015. The EHIS 2 study in Croatia was conducted with the Croatian Institute for Public Health in cooperation with the Public Health Institutes of the County and City of Zagreb, the State Institute of Statistics and the Ministry of Health. Target population was population aged 15 and over. Only the data for the City of Zagreb have been processed, with the total of 446 respondents, of which 188 were men and 258 women, with the age range from 18 to 93 years. After the processed data we can conclude that 35,7% citizens of Zagreb is overweight, 17,7% are obese, and 30,5% have normal body mass. Insufficient number of people are physically active, insufficient mobility, no sport, fitness or recreational activities, and only 17,4% of people ride a bike. 72,7% citizens do not smoke at all, half of the respondents are exposed to tobacco smoke in the indoors. |
