Abstract
Adolescencija je razdoblje u kojem je zabilježena veća pojavnost internaliziranih problema, a upravo internalizirani problemi predstavljaju čimbenik koji je povezan s mentalnim zdravljem i kvalitetom života u budućnosti. S obzirom na to da su ti problemi često teško prepoznatljivi, potrebno je što bolje istražiti okolnosti u kojima se oni javljaju i faktore s kojima su povezani. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost internaliziranih problema s perfekcionizmom i samoefikasnosti te provjeriti mogućnost predviđanja internaliziranih problema na temelju dimenzija perfekcionizma i samoefikasnosti. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 204 učenika prvih i drugih razreda triju zagrebačkih srednjih škola. Sudionici su ispunili Samoprocjenu ponašanja mladih (Achenbach i Rescorla, 2001), Ljestvicu pozitivnog i negativnog perfekcionizma (Terry-Short, Owens, Slade and Dewey, 1995) te Skalu opće samoefikasnosti (Schwarzer i Jerusalem, 1995). Korelacijske analize utvrdile su povezanost negativnog perfekcionizma sa ljestvicom ukupnih internaliziranih problema te sa svim subskalama internaliziranih problema osim sa somatskim teškoćama kod mladića. Samoefikasnost se pokazala povezanom s ukupnim internaliziranim problemima i subskalama anksioznost/depresivnost i povlačenje kod mladića, te samo sa subskalom povlačenje kod djevojaka. Nije utvrđena povezanost pozitivnog perfekcionizma i internaliziranih problema niti kod mladića niti kod djevojaka. Multipla regresijska analiza pokazala je da je samoefikasnost negativni prediktor, a negativni perfekcionizam pozitivni prediktor ukupnih internaliziranih problema kod mladića, dok se kod djevojaka samo varijabla negativnog perfekcionizma pokazala značajnim pozitivnim prediktorom internaliziranih problema.
Abstract (english)
Adolescence is a period in which a greater occurrence of internalized problems has been recorded, and internalized problems represent a factor that is associated with mental health and quality of life in the future. Given that such problems are often difficult to identify, it is necessary to better investigate the circumstances in which they occur and the factors which they relate to. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship of internalized problems with perfectionism and self-efficacy and to examine the possibility of predicting internalized problems based on the dimensions of perfectionism and self-efficacy. The sample included 204 first and second grade high-school students from three high schools in Zagreb. Participants completed Youth Self-Report (Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001), Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale (Terry-Short, Owens, Slade and Dewey, 1995), and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1995). The results have shown that negative perfectionism was positively associated with a scale of total internalized problems and with all subscales of internalized problems except somatic complaints in young men. Self-efficacy was negatively associated with overall internalized problems and subscales of anxiety/depression and withdrawal in young men, and only with subscale of withdrawal in girls. There was no correlation between positive perfectionism and internalized problems, neither in young men nor in girls. Multiple regression analysis has shown that self-efficacy is negative predictor, and negative perfectionism is a positive predictor of total internalized problems among young men, whereas only negative perfectionism proved to be a positive predictor of internalized problems among girls.
