Abstract
U ovom radu nastojat će se dobiti odgovor na kompleksno i zahtjevno pitanje: što sve čini kulturni identitet grada Bjelovara početkom 21. stoljeća – iz perspektive stanovnika grada i ključnih osoba lokalne vlasti. U radu se kulturni identitet grada definira kao zbir jedinstvenih i specifičnih obilježja koje su karakteristične i prepoznatljive jednom entitetu, a opozitne drugim entitetima pa ih zajednica percipira kao njima osobene. Susljedno tome kulturni identitet grada Bjelovara u ovome se... More radu proučava u prvom redu kroz interpretaciju i kontekstualizaciju razmišljanja i stavova građana o Bjelovaru. U tu svrhu provedeno je kvalitativno istraživanje, a intervjuirano je 11 osoba u periodu od svibnja 2019. godine do veljače 2020. godine. Analize intervjua nadopunjene su istraživanjem povijesnih činjenica, vizualnih osobitosti i sadržaja, poviješću i djelovanjem manjinskih zajednica u gradu te analizom postojećih kulturno-umjetničkih događanja. Glavni zaključci rada pokazuju da sugovornici osjećaj pripadnosti Bjelovaru temelje na dugogodišnjem boravku u gradu u kojem su stekli brojna poznanstva i razvijali odnose, a važan im je zajednički jezik, okupljanje na mjestima društvenosti gdje usvajaju značenja te dijeljenje povijest mjesta i zajednice. Iz povijesnog aspekta identiteta, sugovornicima su bitniji nedavni, civilni događaji autentični za grad. Ispostavilo se da se ti događaji odnose na kulturne manifestacije koje u središtu programa prikazuju elemente kulture Bjelovara i njegove zajednice. Vizualni identitet grada za sugovornike je zadovoljavajuć u kontekstu da grad ima ključne fizičke reprezente koji mu daju osobitost. Konačno, odnos većinske zajednice s manjinskim zajednicama u gradu je skladan te ispunjen međusobnim poštivanjem. Less
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to get an answer to a complex and demanding question: what makes up the cultural identity of the city of Bjelovar– from the citizens and local government officials perspectives. In this paper cultural identity is defined as a set of unique and specific features that are characteristic and recognizable to one entity, and different to other entities, so the community perceives them as special to them. Consequently, the cultural identity of the city of Bjelovar in this... More paper is studied primarily through the interpretation and contextualization of the citizens' thoughts about the city and attitudes. For this purpose, a qualitative survey was conducted, and 11 people were interviewed in the period from May 2019 to February 2020. The analyzes of the interviews were supplemented by research into historical facts, visual features and content, the history and activities of minority communities in the city, and an analysis of existing cultural and artistic events. The main conclusions of the paper show that the interviewees' sense of belonging to Bjelovar is based on a long inhabitancy in the city where they made many acquaintances and developed relationships, established a common language, gathered in places of sociability, gave them a meaning and shared the history of places and communities. From the historical aspect of identity, inerviewees find recent civilian events that are specific to the city, very important. It turned out that these events refer to cultural events that hold elements of Bjelovar's culture and its community at the center of the program. The interviewees think of the visual identity of the city as satisfactory, in the context that the city has specific physical representatives that give it distinctiveness.
