Abstract
Na temelju literature i arhivskih izvora, diplomski rad obuhvaća povijesno razdoblje između 1850.-1920. i bavi se obrazovanjem žena, promjenama u društvu i državnim reformama koje su dovele do naglog i ubrzanog razvoja obrazovanja žena. Ovaj rad obrađuje i promjene i razvoj društva u gradu Zagrebu. Diplomski rad govori o razvoju misli i stavova o ženskom obrazovanju općenito. U ovom radu spominju se razvoj ženskih srednjih škola u Zagrebu : Ženska škola Sestara milosrdnica, Ženski licej i Ženska stručna škola, Škola za primalje i ostale škole. Također, u ovom radu navedene su istaknute žene koje su doprinijele obrazovanju žena kroz pedagoški rad i intelektualni rad poput: Marije Jambrišak, Marije Fabković, Dragojle Jarnjević i Adele Milčinović. Na kraju je istaknuto ostvarivanje prava na visoko obrazovanje žena.
Abstract (english)
Based on literature and archival records, this graduate thesis covers the historical period between 1850s and 1920s, and deals with women's education, changes in society and state reforms which brought sudden and rapid development of women's education in that period. This paper focuses on Zagreb and the development of public opinion on education of women. Some of the researched schools are Sisters of Mercy Women's teaching school, Women's elite school, Women's trade school, Midwife school and others. Additionally, this paper covers some of the most distinguished women who through pedagogic and intellectual work greatly contributed to women's education: Marija Jambrišak, Marija Fabković, Dragojla Jarnjević and Adela Milčinović. At the end, the paper covers higher education of women and path needed to gain the right to it.
