Abstract (english) Creativity is a term that has sparked increasing interest in psychological research in recent decades. This research is often hampered by the fact that creativity is a very broad term that encompasses various aspects of cognition and behavior. However, some of these studies have shown that there is a connection between creativity and some mental disorders, and that it is possible to single out certain personality traits in creative individuals. The aim of this study was to determine whether there is an association between depression, anxiety, certain personality traits, and creativity in a student sample. The study involved 151 respondents aged 19 to 29 years. In order to examine the creativity of the respondents, the Questionnaire of self-assessment of creativity and the Questionnaire of self-assessment of creative behavior were used (Ljubotina et al. 2015). The Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS) (Lovibond and Lovibond, 1995) subscale for Depression was used to test for depression and the Anxiety subscale of the same scale was used to test for anxiety. Furthermore, the Big Five Inventory (John and Srivastava, 1999), i.e. its subscales of Extraversion and Openness to Experience, were used to examine the expression of personality traits. Respondents were first divided according to creativity and then tested by subscales of depression, anxiety, and Extraversion and Openness to experience. The results showed that there is a significant positive but weak correlation between the scale of self-assessment of creative behavior "Making original objects", anxiety and Openness to experience. Then, a significant positive but weak connection between the scale "Artistic and technical creations" and Openness to experience was obtained. The "Literary-Dramatic Creations" scale showed a significant but weak connection with anxiety, Extraversion and Openness to experience. The scale "Creations in the field of music and games" proved to be significant, but weakly related to anxiety and openness to experience. The last scale, ie the Creativity Self-Assessment Questionnaire, showed a significant but weak association with anxiety and extraversion and a significant, moderate association with Openness to Experience.
